I would go for Lp if only because he's snowflake, so it would make sure no hom snowflake foals slip by without showing the gene.

He will definitely be available for straws. It is part of the reason I want to get him finished. I can't wait to share him!

The only studs I tried to keep in-house for a bit were my two dream chinchilla boys, Ithilden and Ilmen Ilumire, but I was not great at it and it is open season on all my boys now.

I am definitely one of those who like suprises. I have five other studs that happen to be hom snowflake.
Three carry no copies of LP at all so who knows when and where their SNF genes are going to pop up, and the other two carry nexus so you squint at their offspring trying to decide if you are seeing snow or stars and curse the exclusiveness of the Fantasy breeder's club. LOL!
I also have a few studs with appy that only carry one copy of SNF because I couldn't stand to see them varnish out after I spent so much time and funding making them gorgeous. Let their kids do that! LOL!

I am also, believe it or not, not a huge fan of snowflake. I would like it much better if it took a little longer for the horses to varnish out completely.
Those first 5 seasons or so are glorious though! :x

In short, I am liking the idea of only one copy of LP. I am okay with missing out on some snowflakes. LOL!

I think I will definitely sneak a copy of KP in there too if I can afford it.

That empty kit still bothers me but my lines are already very kit heavy so I know it won't matter too much in later generations, as HTRanch said.

The only kit I think I would add would be Sabino 1 or 2?
I currently only have one stud in my BBA lines carrying Sabino and I do enjoy it.

No they're not. I have a few with Sabino 1 and 2, I love how the two interact. :x

I second the take off the pangere idea. He is gorgeous!! Too bad you couldn't get w8. But even something simple like tobiano is awesome. I also like the silver idea!
