Just have my boy for this season. :) Should I call him Leucoryx, Beisa, or Dammah? :D

They are the scientific name for the 4 oryx breeds :)

I wouldn't do Dammah, since it sounds like some kind of colloquialism and I think he deserves a much more regal name. :P What does Beisa mean?

Can't find it. Original meaning was probably lost since it's Latin, so now Beisa just means the variety of Oryx that are called by it.

Google translate says it's Sesotho for Set. :P soooooo that's nothing. but a breed name of oryx is cool. I like Leucoryx best! Something about the C sound mixed with the Ryx part. :P

I picked Leucoryx. :) He kind of light so "white" oryx fits. :D But I'm gonna breed him next season and his best daughter showing Onyx will be called Beisa. :D I hope she comes out like your 1st or 3rd foal @RoseFlute. They're gorgeous!
