    I am confused are you suppose to breed by era or generation or both?

    Most players do not care about mixing eras. They are really only important for the leaderboards I think, and a horse can't have a mixed era, they just inherit the lowest era from their parents.

    Breeding even generations is important to most players, particularly for their breeding stock.
