Ridiculous Barn Size Goal: Achieved
-
I’m not admitting I have a pixel pony hoarding problem, because that would be silly, but today (now yesterday) with only a “mere” 7515 non-primary stalls, I saved up enough for a new thousand stall barn. As a result, I hit triple-digits in extra IV barn costs. After roughly two years of playing, I now pay an extra 109% on my IV-purchased barns. This... accomplishment? sign of underlying illness? leaves me feeling quite happy tonight. My stable is now (un)Officially Ridiculous. I celebrated by breeding a rainbow of Watercolor babies, which will all be graced with corny, mathematical or pie-themed names in keeping with the spirit of Pi Day.
What are some Haji (or real life) accomplishments you have recently achieved? How did you go from: “this is insane” to “yes, it is, and I did it!” When I started, I didn’t dream of ever filling a thousand stalls, or owning any closed genes, but thanks to some wonderful friends, fertile pixel ponies, and an awesome game, here I am : )
Thank you, Ammit, for such a fantastic, fun, genetic journey. Thank you for valuing your members, whether we carefully save up IVs for a basic upgrade, or can splurge on the latest genes and strive for Diamond Club membership. Thank you, fellow players, for always being awesome. This game would not be nearly as much fun without y’all. From one tiny barn to this abundant mess I claim today, I’ve always felt welcomed as a part of the Hunt and Jump community.
Please note: this message was mostly written on 14th March, but then I got distracted by awesome tacos and a really cute dog, so this didn’t get posted until the 15th.Looking for Appaloosas? Check out my Riata account.

I earned by Blue Belt in BJJ on Wednesday. For those that don't do jiu jitsu, that's kind of a big deal. Most people end up dropping out while before they get their blues or right after. BJJ was really hard to start - it requires physical conditioning I just didn't have, and it's mentally challenging since you're literally being restrained, choked, arm-barred, etc., by people. I battle perfectionism on a daily basis, so starting new challenging things requires extra mental effort to let go and allow myself to be bad while I'm learning.
In November, the professional my school operates under (one of the top ten in the world) was in town for workshops and belt testing. My instructor told me I was up for Blue Belt then. I didn't really feel ready, but he kept encouraging me. I failed. Miserably. In front of everyone. For context, my usual class has less than ten people. This workshop had 40-50 people from my school's three branches and schools in the surrounding area. Everyone knew I was there to test. Everyone else who started at the same time or with three months of me got promoted. I did not.
But I stuck with it, and my instructor belted me at the end of class on Wednesday. I kind of wish I had been able to succeed as publicly as I failed, and a little part of me worries that it may have been a pity promotion, but I'm still super proud of myself for sticking with it.~Purveyor of the finest riding horses in Rakia~

I just recently (like earlier this week after finishing showing), hit 100k show bonus nightly. It took just over a year to achieve this, and now I’m looking at being able to buy two GMTs a week, or currently almost a 120 stall barn in just over a weeks time (until I buy the next one, then it will take a bit longer). I didn’t think I would ever make it to 100k, I hovered at the 90-93k mark for 2 seasons until rollover hit, then I would drop again. But this past rollover didn’t hurt as bad as the last two and I was finally able to hit my goal. Now I officially am making more than I really know what to do with (I say that now, give me a month and I will have some ridiculous project to work on).

I gotta say. That's an accomplishment.
But! Mine is a couple things. I finally got mushroom thanks to a friend. I've wanted Mushroom for so long, I can't even tell you. It's on a yearling, who will hopefully have Snowflake, KP, DP, and S+. Dreamy. He's also going to be a sable champagne. Also dreamy.
My other accomplishment is that I finally hit a 15k show bonus. So yay! <:-PLove,

In game achievement - I just bought my first 210 stall barn. I've spent the last two seasons continually bumping against stall space. I now currently have over a hundred open stalls, which means even why I buy some new show ponies this weekend, I'll still have plenty of space for breeding next month.
Edit: Just noticed that I just passed a 10k show bonus!~Purveyor of the finest riding horses in Rakia~

Congratulations on your show bonuses, everyone : ) Reaching each of those milestones is fantastic!
@FeldingFields, what a great achievement! Congratulations on your Blue Belt. It is really cool that you stuck it out and worked hard to earn your belt after such a frustrating and embarrassing test. I know BJJ achievements are EARNED through hard work and lots of practice, not just handed out like candy, so I hope you are really proud of your achievement! I don’t know a lot about BJJ, but it takes a few years before even thinking about the next belt, correct? I’m sending you a round of applause for your awesome accomplishment.
Congrats on your first 210 barn! That is a great achievement. It’s very smart to leave room for future foals.
@FallenShadows714, I remember carefully watching my show bonus slowly climb from 83k, and it felt like it took a long time to hit 100k (probably because I was checking it so much). Great job!
@SpryOfJune, Awesome! Thank you, kind friend of Spry. Mushroom is so much fun. Your little guy is so handsome. I cannot wait to see him all grown up! I love champagnes, and sables are fantastic.Looking for Appaloosas? Check out my Riata account.

Thank you, Alohomora. BJJ has been a great mental and physical challenge for me (and damn those core muscles have helped my riding).~Purveyor of the finest riding horses in Rakia~
