Consistency (Re)Explained?

    Hey all! I am getting back into the game and a lot has changed. Specifically, consistency has changed. It used to be two consistent horses produced consistent offspring, whereas now it seems like it's a bit of a roll of the dice. And inconsistent + consistent would have a very high chance of producing an inconsistent foal (hence why it was best to just stick to the consistent ones unless it was a very cool color of horse, at least those were my rules)
    So I would like to know the consistency chances between two consistent horses, and if this means inconsistent horses have a chance at producing consistent horses now. Please and thank you very much in advance!

    I don't know the chances, however consistent horses are more likely to produce consistent horses, and inconsistent horses are more likely to produce inconsistent horses. The key word here is "more likely" so you can still have an odd ball in there.

    You can also get "very inconsistent" horses, which are altered by BA. There's only 8 of these horses in the game though

    As I understand it, consistency hasn't changed, and it may be that your horses from long ago were more consistent than usual. Consistency should only affect showing and a PT count. :) Even then, Inconsistent horses can still show well. :)

    I’m not sure how long ago it was that you played but consistency hasn’t changed. It’s always been that 2 consistent horses were more likely to have consistent horses (but could have inconsistent foals)

    What has been overhauled is the show system. It used to be that it was much easier to show consistent horses because their scores could be predicted easier than an inconsistent horse whose could score where you predicted or it could swing higher or lower.
