Ah, yeah, nurses are horrible about waking you up constantly. Lol Last time I was in the hospital, they had me on an hourly testing schedule the first few days. I finally told the head nurse I had to sleep at least four hours a night and if not getting poked and prodded that long killed me, it'd be worth it. :))

The blood thinner is because you have to lie down so much. It prevents dangerous blood clots from forming where there's pressure on veins that aren't used to it. And that's some schedule for pain killers! I'm glad they're trying to keep you comfortable. :)

You have my complete sympathy over that horrid meds schedule that's interrupting your sleep. When my daughter was born, I experienced a broken blood vessel between the vaginal wall and the pelvis so they had to take measures to stop the bleeding. It was discovered when my blood pressure dropped drastically the afternoon after her morning birth. I spent that night in recovery (I think) having my blood pressure taken every 15 minutes! It was absolutely the longest night in my life. I'd drop off to sleep, start a weird dream, and find myself waking up again to the squeezing of the blood pressure cuff.

Hang in there. It sounds like most things are going pretty well.
