What does it do to a plain black? or White spotted black?

Since Mushroom requires red, and black "hides" red pigment, I expect you wouldn't see any difference on black, blue roan, or grullo horses (because they all don't have red pigments).

It says the gene is testable but won’t appear in the name? So how do we know if the horse infact inherits the mushroom gene when bred with a het horse?Breeding liver chestnut drafts that carry snowflake and kp.

How do I get a foal with no mushroom gene out of two hom. Parents?
My understanding is euch parent carries two copys of the gene. That would mean that the foal wpuld 100% get two copys. Am I wrong.Thanked by 1kintara -

Does it take a while for one's Mushroom purchase to register? I bought it a little over an hour ago, and the gene isn't showing up on my horse or in my account as one I own (on the home page). However, the notice to buy the gene doesn't pop up anymore when I come to this thread.
Is there another step I need to take? Or am I in some sort of limbo?
(This is my first licensed gene... so it's a bit new!) -

Thank you, Ammit for this great new gene! As I mentioned somewhere, any horse wearing a "mumu" just has to be Hawaiian. So that's how my new homozygous mushroom boy got his name. :D
