Amber vs sable?

So I just gmt AtAt into an amber champagne, which should have turned it into a sable. But it still says amber? Am I just being an idiot and got my genetics wrong, or is something weird going on?

You're fine, it's just that browns with less sooty are basically indistinguishable from bays, so they're labelled bays and ambers. :)

So to get the sable label, should I add sooty?
