His rollover portrait rerolls baffle me
  • This is what he rerolled to this month. image
RFA RS SQ The Lost Strad

When I created him, he showed a lot more white from the w2 and w20 but no brindle. Last month when he rerolled, kept all his white but showed his brindle. And now he got this on the reroll. Is it just me or is it odd that his w2 and w20 combination just disappeared?
I know someone said on another post that some genes aren't playing nice with each other at the moment. I was just curious after seeing almost all of his white disappear.
  • The brindle markings are masking it. This is a highly sought after look by some players. You can always just reroll if it's not your taste.

Normally you won't see a massive change from season to season but I had to rearrange some things in the generator for the rainbow genes and that changed how the seeds are acting.

  • Ah OK. I don't mind the look, was just confused/curious as to why there was such a big change. The adding of the new genes makes sense. Thanks!
  • I like his coat a lot :)

  • Yes you can see his brindle - I've lost mine from my grey yule log ashes - even after 5 re-rolls she remains the same :(

  • She used to look like this guy - who fortunately didn't change much

I may try a few times again to change her by re-rolling but not til after I've finished pasture breeding.

  • Rerolling would get you there eventually. You have to get the random trigger that cuts the brindle through the kit genes.

  • @dinascar, he's shown his brindle since the month after I created him. At first he looked a lot like this mare, if my memory serves me right.

Also your Yule Log Ashes are lovely!
  • Ah thanks - yes I like to see the brindle pattern and with those 2 I assume it's "playing with" the White 1 spotting. I would be very happy indeed with your top guy. He looks great :)

  • Thanks! He's been very good for my program, adding lots of color and even threw 2 A's last season. I only ended up keeping 1 as my other RS stud also threw an A papered colt. I can't wait for them both to come of age.
