It means that they will get the same score both times they show in a week. However, their PT scores are not guaranteed, so some will be better showers than others. Horses with a wide range of PT scores can end up being good showers, depending on their luck, but horses with very low PT scores will not level off at a very high spot.

Years ago, in real life, my daughter had a stallion with a PT score in the 2's some where. She continued showing him, although he never got much beyond 2L (or something like that), and he leveled off before he was 3. Even with payouts that were higher then (since we didn't have a showing bonus yet), he wasn't making much money at any show, but he did, over a long lifetime (he was an excellent breeding horse) earn a couple of thousand hbs, so she kept on showing him, too.
