Does PT score effect showing?
-
Just wondering since I have an 11.0 PT horse and I was going to geld him but I didn't know if it's going to effect it any?EasternShowBarn

PT score is a measure of how well a horse will train, and so, how high up the ladder of showing levels it can climb. Generally speaking, the higher the PT, the better a horse will be at showing. Additionally, neutered horses train for a game year longer before leveling off and reaching a plateau in their show scores.
If this is a horse that you don't wish to add to your breeding stock, by all means geld him and put him into a show barn (if you have a barn solely for show stock). At any rate, hang onto him for showing. And even if you keep him intact, show him.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Pt usually equates to the age the horse levels off. So he would level off around age 11 :)
Edit: Well i've seen other players talk about pt and age being semi related :P●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●
