I have never purchased a gene before but I'm interested in this one. My question though is if I buy it now do I have to apply it immediately or can I hold onto it for the right horse? If so how long can I hold onto it? Or am I buying a horse with it and not a gene? If it's a horse is it perfect foundation?

@shad0cat You choose a horse and then follow the directions listed in the post and Ammit puts the gene(s) on.

ETA: Unless you use GMTs then you follow the normal GMTing routine. Buy the GMTs, choose the horse, go into the GMT lab, pick the macchiato gene, apply it.

Oh my goodness! Love this so much! Im so mad that I just spent all those IVs YESTERDAY on the luster dust tack pack... I wish there was a way to refund it haha

Since it is designated as SpM, I take it a horse cannot have splash to have this gene? Looking at getting a hom boy and considered my Stars and Stripes, but he is het splash.

I assume a horse could be het Splash and het SpM. If there's no lethal interactions. The third example horse looks to be het SpS and het SpM.

I wish I saw this a little sooner. I just used 10 GMTs to add sabino2 to my stars and stripes boy. Although, I do love sabino so I'm still happy with my boy. And it sounds like this will be available for a few more weeks so I can always come back for it later. :D

@ObsidianKitsune I would think you'd be able to change your horse's SpS to SpM if you wanted to. You can use GMTs to do things like change KITto to KITsb1 so I don't think that Macchiato would be any different since you can buy it with GMTs too. Even if you can only put SpM onto a horse that doesn't have any other Splash genes, you could always use 1 GMT to change SpS to just Sp and then add SpM onto that. Admit would have to confirm of course

It sounds like this gene is going to be very closed, so will Macchiato owners be able to buy/sell straws and eggs with other Macchiato owners? Or is that going to be closed too and only private buddy breeding is allowed?

There is an example of a Het Splash Het Macchiato horse shown above. If you order a copy of SpM for a horse that is Het Sps I will add SpM to the empty side.

@shad0cat GMT rules apply. Only foundations, 4 and under with no foals.

@WindwardFarm You can only share horses and genetics with other Macchiato foundation owners. Doesn't mater how you do that.

Thank-you Ammit for doing this! I have one question. For spayed foals will there be the equivalent of the Fantasy gene sell back, or can spayed and gelded horses be sold in the auction?

Can you breed a horse that has hom Splash 2 and hom Macchiato?oh one of the horses have splash 1

Dena she said in the original post that it's not lethal with any gene in the game, so it would be a safe combo. I can't wait to start seeing foals in a few days!

Does the amount of white factor (none, minimal, extensive, etc) determine how the Macchiato markings turn out once a foundation horse is gmt'd? What if the horse I want to GMT has a pre-existing pattern such as frame or appy? Thanks :)

USD means US dollars. You can find the conversion rate in google, by googling ##USD in (whatever currency you use). Your GMT quesiton has been answered elsewhere as well, but basically in the upgrades and extra tab.
