so i have this grullo stallion and i comparison tested him to his sire and it said he was Superior to his sire what does that mean? -
You want each generation of horses you breed to be better than the last one. So, you can use the comparison test to make sure that's happening. Most of us geld horses who are not superior to their sire. Some of us use a benchmark horse for the same generation to compare to, and see if he's up to the standards of quality we try to maintain.

The test is for breeding ability only, as well. It has nothing to do with the foal's showing ability in comparison with his sire.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
