Its 00.15 here, the wine is gone, the dogs are sleeping after seeing the fireworks with us and the kid slept through it all after being up and hour and a half past his bedtime :)

I can report from 9:41am New Years Day that the world has not ended and in Brisbane, Australia the new year has begun with golden light and high temperatures! Every fan in the house is on, every window is open. I went to bed early but my husband sat up with the dog to make sure the fireworks didn't bother her (we've had some nasty thunderstorms she mildly objected to in the last month or so). Now a friend who partied in the city til 4am is sleeping it off on our couch!

It's only 8:40 pm here in Indiana USA, and going through my herd again is the most exciting thing going on right now.
