This is a bonus stall system that you can see on your home page. For every 100 horses you breed or create that stay in the game (auctioned and yummed horses are taken off), another stall is added to your primary barn. I'm not sure why the counter always starts at 200 and awards you at 100, but there it is. :D
There's another horse count tracker for all-time horses created or bred on your personal page, which you can find by clicking your username on the homepage. :) That one keeps yummed and auctioned horses in the count. I've got about 5,500 on that one. :P
