Any interest in platinum chocolate onyx foundation?
  • With the changes to chocolate and platinum, I've decided to switch my plt/b herd over no non fantasy genes. Unfortunately for me, I had just finished this guy and used him. Now he will not work in my herds. I figured I would see if I could get some money back on him, so I can make a new stud that will work.

  • If you did him recently you can use GMT lab refunds to remove the onyx. Might have to remove several to get to where ever you did the onyx but can always add the ones you want to keep back on.

ETA: Oh shoot just saw he has a bunch of foals. Ouch. Heres to the next one.

  • Dang, I need to get licenses for onyx and platinum yet. Trying to get those in the GMT lab. If I manage to before anyone else has purchased him, I'll chat with you about price!
  • Yeah, I would've just sold all his foals back, even though he has 49, but someone else owns two of them so I'm pretty much SOL on that front. Oh well.

  • I’m sure he’s too rich for my blood, but I love him.
  • I am certainly interested, but no idea what you want to price him at!
  • @whywishesarehorses @BoredCowgirl @silverborn

Perhaps I'll do a forum auction? I know I probably won't get back what I put into him, but it's better than him sitting around unused.

  • I would *love* him, or straws!

  • I still need to get onyx and platinum. So if someone else wants him and is willing to send straws when I have the licenses, please do scoop him up!

Just because I commented first doesn't mean I *need* him. B-)

  • After all the pest auctions my bankroll is too low to even make a respectable offer.
  • I’m not sure what a reasonable offer is for him since I’m still new, but is he still available? If he’s not for sale, are there straws available?
Hi! I go by Delta! They/Them pronouns.
Deltarian: Mixed bag- Open/Closed Genes, Non-Fantasy/Fantasy Genes.
Deltani Saddle Seat Horses! Deltani horses are DDW white-spotted beauties that express full white.
Delmari: Black based (E/E a/a or E/e a/a) with any number of genes that can add white or other color shifts.

  • What do you want for him I can use him for a new line lol

Do you need another stallion to GMT? I think I have some that are unbred and GMTable you could use

To give you an idea on his "value", he cost around 20 million to create I think. I know I won't get that much for him though. To create a replacement would probably be 10 million or more in GMTs, depending what genes the horse you start with has. If I clone him, I could just remove the Onyx since that's the only genes that won't work for this line. Cloning would be the cheapest route for getting a replacement at about 6mil.

Long story short, his value is whatever someone is willing to pay for him. What is reasonable for one might not be reasonable for another, and I know I won't get the amount I've put into him. I'm even open to trades, if someone had the GMTs to make a stud that would work in my herd, even if his "value" was less than Mouse's.

I used him last month and if I don't end up selling him, I'll continue to use him. It's not an emergency where I have to sell him, I just won't get rid of the onyx until 3rd gen foals are born.

  • His second set of DNA has no onyx so you can GMT it off his foals. The fact that it is 0% inheritance does not mater.

  • I'd probably be willing to pay 4 million for him by the end of the month. I love him but I dont need him

Brain fart. I don't know why I didn't think about that.
