Hi folks - I am finding myself struggling to parse some of the changes to the auction, and I would appreciate some assistance sorting it out.

A few members have commented that it can be very difficult to purchase auction horses for the gift exchange because of some users buying up so many. While I want to make space for people who enjoy shopping the auction, I also want to make sure the gift exchange works well. It's an important part of our community. I put in some less restriction means before but it seems a more aggressive step is needed now. For the moment, I have implemented a limit of 100 auction wins in the past 7 days to try and find a good balance. I am willing to massage these numbers to find a happy balance. Made some tweaks to auction limits. There are now exceptions in place for bidding against the auction bidder. If A horse has bids from no one else you can now place a bid no mater out many high bids you have or how many auctions you have won in the past week. If you have 50 or more high bids, or have won 50 or more auctions in the prior 7 days you will be unable to bid against another player. Only against the auction bidder.


If I am reading correctly, that tells me that there is a limit of 100 auction wins in a 7 day period, plus a limit on high bids. I found myself hitting a max of 30 high bids at a time, regardless of whether or not I was bidding against the auction bidder while I was scooping up horses yesterday.

Today, even while bidding against the auction bidder, I am getting "You have surpassed the maximum number of auctions wins in a single week. This restriction is to make sure other members get a chance to win some horses too. Try again in a few days."

Shouldn't the " If A horse has bids from no one else you can now place a bid no mater out many high bids you have or how many auctions you have won in the past week." exception apply here?
