Help Weeding Through Foal Crop?
-
I have the habit of jumping headlong into a game without a whole lot of direction. But I'm having fun:')!
I went all sorts of directions with breeding but now I don't really know if what I have will help me or not.. Especially without really having a clear direction on what I want my project(s) to be.
Really, I was hoping that someone could take a peek at my foals and tell me if one or two are definitely worth keeping while I'm still trying to decide my breeding goals.

Thank you! -
If you haven't already run them through Strict Breeding Advice, that will geld/spay any that are lower quality.
No one can really tell you how to play the game. Everyone finds their own way and what works best for you. What one person really enjoys you might not find enjoyable at all. If you are new I definitely recommend focusing on building up a show herd. The more points your stable has as a whole means the larger your daily payment and the more HBs you will have to spend on your breeding goals.Thanked by 1Hecate -
One of the best ways to build up a strong herd is to find someone else's *** star stallion for stud using the search. You already figured that out so it's an amazing start. If it was my barn I would concentrate on keeping your ** gold fillies and altering everything else, particularly the colts. Those ** gold girls will make amazing show foals for you in the future.
Obviously, you don't have to alter all the rest if you have some special ones you are attached to but from a game-maximizing outlook the ** gold mares are the ones worth keeping. I would not even run those through testing. I would turn testing off for them. You know they are good already.Need to contact me? Read this first. I second working on building a strong show herd, exactly how Ammit said. You can play around with different genes until you find a combination you really like, then you can start from foundations with a clear idea of what colors you want. Of course there is no wrong way to play and you can just keep up with the high gold/star breeding forever if that's your wish.#28036Thanked by 1Hecate
