Questions about the new discord

    Hi, I saw that Ammit set up a discord server earlier this week. There are links to join it on a lot of pages now.

    Is that eventually going to make buddy chats and the forums obsolete? I'm wondering primarily about any changes to the game, gene features, discussion of upcoming sales, and that kind of thing. I'm sure we will still have the chats and forums for horse sales.

    Discord as a concept runs faster than a forum would do. I'm hesitant to join a discord because I already tend to wallow in chats and not get IRL tasks done. But, I don't want to miss out if there are going to be discussions of new genes (I know ice ended and there was a theory of bringing in a new fantasy gene type), changes of gene expressions, breed characteristics, and so on. Those are important to me.

    The forum is never going anywhere. Buddy chats are not being removed though I make no promises about the pan chats. They cause some stability issues and can crash other servers.

    There will be conversations you will miss out on if you don't join Discord but there will never be any changes to the game or things like that which will not be posted on the forum. The forum is and always be the most official way I communicate with the membership.

    I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

    I find the forums easier to review large discussions on than discord, like leaderboard changes, BC feedback, etc., so this is good to know! Thanks!

    Thanks for posting this, Poppidoll! I was a little flustered to see that I had missed almost 200 messages in the "suggestions" channel, including about big changes that I have some strong feelings about. I don't think I can keep up with the discord too.

    There are zero changes like that that will happen to the game just because they were talked about in the suggestion channel. The forum is and always will be the official place for big change discussions.
