Bad to Best Update

I have been running two lines, starting from perfectly awful and breeding up.
The first set I am maxing every foal, the second I am just using bulk pasture breeding.
My first set is making progress. They are now up to 5.1 PT. They are still testing as failed and I think they will for 2 more generations and then will break into yellow papers at that point.
My bulk line, I think I am going to give up on. They still have sub 2 pt scores. What I have found is that the negative weighting put on very low breeding abilities is just too strong to overcome without using maxing. I do not recommend trying to do a bad-to-best program without maxing. It is possible but tedious and slow to the point of punishing.
I am glad I tested both ways and it is good to know what is possible for the game. I am going to keep my maxed line going for a long time to come.Need to contact me? Read this first. I too have been doing two lines - one Maxed and one "the old fashioned way" with pasture bonuses only. I am getting the same results.
My maxed line is on its 4th generation with a PT of 5.10. Still failing paper testing but passing SBA in good numbers.
My basic line is on the struggle bus. Still on its 3rd generation with a max PT around 0.60 and lots of inconsistency.ID#43150 | she/her
