Maxing/Boosting does the order matter? CLOSED
-
I just boosted and maxed a new colt. He is only Star** even though he is boosted 15 PT from double boosted parents.
Does boosting before maxing cause this? I've never had one not be ***?

You have to max and then boost. Maxing makes the foal's quality as good as the sire and dam can produce together. Boosting gives a 5% boost to breeding ability. You always max a horse to the best it can be before boosting.Thanked by 1Cottonwoods

I thought that was my mistake. Oh well.| #59142 | Spotted | Reiner | Chocolatey | Enchanting | Stygien | Lunara |

The only time you don't need to max before boosting is if you are boosting a clone of a horse that was already maxed. In that case you can just boost the clone without maxing.Thanked by 1Cottonwoods

Oh no! Such a nice foal too. Echoing what Highstorm said.Continuing my reign as the most annoying player on the forums and hgg’s favorite butch lesbian cowboy
