Building up your show herd is the best way to gain hbs. You daily payout is based on the number of points the horses you own have. The more points the more hbs you get via your daily payout. Horses gain points by being shown 2x a week. Look for horses to buy who already have points or who have a higher PT score because they will train for longer and therefore gain more points over their lifetime.

If you have a highly sought after horse or RS you may be able to sell them for a decent amount. The sale market though fluctuates quite a bit and an RS that sold for 500k last week you may not have any buyers for this week.

You have like 4 threads asking for "loans," which isn't really done here. Meaning this in the nicest way possible, you may need to just slow your roll a bit and wait to earn hbs like everyone else has had to do :) This game takes time to move up in, nothing in it is instant.

As a basic upgrade, you'll get money every Sunday. You are better off building your show herd before your breeding stock though. Your show herd is how you make hbs daily.

no i cant make pointed creates anymore and id love that thank you hunterundersaddlegirl! yes im still looking for a bit of breeding stock i got a bit more breeding free to do with my primary 200 breeding barn i bred what i can but now im out of mares to breed! so i would love some more! :)

And I have tons of stallions id be willing to sell. Sorry I don't have more to offer but almost all of my horses have fantasy genes

But basically there is no "right" way to breed because we all like different things. So finding what YOU want to breed is the most important thing

I haven't had a base membership in like 8+ real life years. So I have no idea what you in a base membership.

What I would do if I were you is I'd "experiment" while I built up a show herd and then you can start devoting resources to your goal.

Most people breed their horses "evenly". This shows a slow progression like building blocks, but it shows dedication, and the parents will be evenly matched and the foals should be slightly improved as time goes on. I can find you references on what BA (breeding advice), but I don't know where there's anything written about SBA (strict breeding advice), but strict breeding advice will make sure that your foals at least aren't any worse than their parents.

The paper level goes up as the breeding quality of the horse goes up. It goes from failed, yellow, red, blue, Gold, Gold*, Gold** and then Gold*** for mares. Foundations from the foundation rescue will be high yellow. Foundations coming from exceptional producing hh's will be red papered. You can't paper test as a base upgrade. But I think you can with the basic upgrade which you can save up for. Its definitely worth it. In this way you can know what to expect by what generation. Some people are more strict than others.


Breeding foundations with higher quality stallions is called "bootstrapping". However, now we use the term for any horse that isn't even generation.

So yeah i'd recommend buy a flashy stallion from someone. (maybe me although most of mine are closed genes). Maybe hunt for one in auction. Then breed to a bunch of random mares until you find a color you like. Then reach back out on the forums for help with the genetics on how to breed that color.

Well I guess it depends on where you're at.

Do you have barn space? Do you have hbs to spend?

A lot of this is a patience game. We've all been there and there isn't a lot you CAN do until you have consistent cash flow. So the most important thing is to build up a show bonus. And unfortunately that is something we can only help with you a limited bit. Because we've all been here. We've all started at the ground and worked our way up. The community is generous, but we can't fully launch you. It takes time to carefully comb through auctions and sales looking for good deals.

I don't know how many hbs you have, but its really unfortunate you can't make pointed creates anymore. When I made a new account for the purpose of coaching new players and to see how it felt again I made pointed creates, sold them to new players for above lifetime payout, then bought new barns. Then I built up my show herd. THEN I started breeding horses.

And what do you mean by "new batch". Certainly doesn't hurt to make creates breed them and then auction them. And even the foals too if you don't like the foals. All part of discovering what you do and don't like and practice making good stock.

Yeah its easy to spend lots of money quickly. Ive been doing a lot of emrbyo breeding trying to slowly bring back my herd with nice stock but the money just goes so fast. But we're all in the same boat. Work on your barns, and find pretty ponies for your show herd and you'll be good to go.

Excellent the weekly bonus, and the automated showing are a life saver. As well as all the testing and everything else

If you have excess IRL money you can always offer to buy closed genes for people and the going rate is somewhere between 100,000 to 150,000hbs per real life dollar. That way its a win win and not having to rely on handouts. The community is generous, but can't presume they'll bail you out every time you run out haha.
