My Bad to Best Saga

    Starting my own thread about my experiences.

    I bred these 25 mares and 2 stallions this season. I've got a yearling stud and several yearling mares that I'll be adding to the pasture when they're of age.

    Of the 25 foals, 4 passed SBA and were superior to parent.

    If I end up with more Perfectly Awful helpers I'll be creating more mares for next season. I may also create additional stallions for more diversity in my herd, but I'll see.

    I had 25 mares and 2 stallions. Most of the mares had the full 30 day pasture bonus.

    3 horses passed SBA and tested superior.

    At this rate I'm going to have many more stallions than mares :))

    I've got a few more first gen mares to add in once they're of age, and one more stallion. And in 2 seasons my second gens will be ready to breed. Debating if I want to put them in a pasture or do all AI lab breeding. Pasture limits me to 1 foal per pairing, but gets the full pasture bonus. AI would be only half bonus, but could get many more foals per breeding.

    Maybe I'll do both...
