How is Top Producer judged?

    I have 2 studs and 1 mare on Top Producer boards right now - not high enough to place, it just got me thinking. What is Top Producer based on? Foal breeding ability, showing ability, papers, PT? Some amount of all of them?

    Okay, so showing and breeding ability of foals contributes? For instance, if I produce a couple fillies that are lower-than-parents papered, or for the sake of this convo even failed papered, but are superstar show ponies, will they still contribute positively to moving up the boards? Or should I cull them so they don't get factored into the average (auction or sell back to game)?

    *Asking from the perspective of moving up the boards only, I understand there'd be a different answer if building show herds was the goal :) Just wanting a thorough understanding of the leaderboard factors - All the talk about them recently has made me curious.

    Only the best few foals count. There is zero reason to cull the lower-end foals. If you have better foals the worse foals don't drag you down.
