How are ties awarded on leaderboards?

I've noticed on some leaderboards a few foals in the top 3 have the same PT scores as the ones below them. If, say, the 2nd - 5th place horses have the same PT scores, how is it decided which of those wins GMTs for 2nd and 3rd place, and which don't for 4th and 5th place?

I think I recall seeing somewhere that in ties the youngest always wins.Thanked by 1Poppidoll
