Question from newb, why cant I breed a foal?

I have managed to breed one foal, but cannot find where I did it, or if its closed for some reason.

With out seeing the horses you are trying to breed I can offer a couple ideas.
Has the mare already had a foal this month? She only gets 1.
Is she between the age of 4 & 19? Younger and older can't have babies.
The button you are looking for is on her control panel if she can.
