Bad to Best Breeding Project - Show off your foundations

It's April first so I am kicking off my Bad To Best project. Everyone is welcome to participate with me.
-You must start with perfectly awful foundations. They can be new creates, older creates. or even owned by other players. You decide how many.
-Try and get the best foals you can from that group.
-All foundations in the pedigree must be perfectly awful. No using horses that trace to non PAs.
-Breed the resulting foals together to try and get better and better foals each year
-The goal is to get to A/Red papers.
No rules about how you get there and no prizes. Just share your progress each month.
For my project, I decided to start with 32 stallions and 32 mares so I can have a no inbreeding line. My plan is to breed each mare twice a season. One group will be getting maxed, the other will use comparison testing only.

The start of my little herd, though I made my stallion a yearling so I won't be able to start breeding until June. But I have a month to roll the PA hh or grab them from the forum.
My plan at the moment is to start with ten mares add 1 or 2 stallions and chuck them in a pasture. Only keep the ones that test better than sire/dam and then go on from there each generation. This is going to be a fun little experiment!

For my second set of foals for the year I decided to make a fancy herd sire for them. He is a Gray Painted White Spotted Silver Sable Champagne Dun Mushroom Splash Tobiano Appaloosa Rabicano with muddy puddles. Cause why not! :D

For at least my foundations, I'm trying to go with names of "things that are so bad they are good." Made some tweaks to the stallion, but looking to see how the colors shake out with no emphasis on color genetics, just breeding ability. Only have the five from Ammit's share for now; am hoping to wind up with an even 10 mares.

Ok I have two herds. One group of mares and a stallion. None will be GMTed or modified in any way other than pasture bonuses. The herd sire will be Rowdy and can only be replaced by other studs I purchase to prevent inbreeding.

Here's my herd sire, I have 50 straws up for sale for him as well. Both him and his mares have had some slight GMT work done to them. I figured if they're going to be destroying my barns they might as well look pretty doing it :)

This is my first time trying low PT breeding. I was under the impression that foals who are superior to their parents would pass BA. This little booger tested superior to her dam, but still got spayed. Was I incorrect in my assumptions?

Also, on an unrelated note… I have my BC for this line set to PonPon, but my creates are coming out regular sport ponies and I’m having to set the BC manually. What’s up with that? -
Normal Breeding Advice cares if a foal is a good result for that cross not if the foal is superior to its parents. That foal is a poor result for the parents even though it is superior to both. Yeah. From here out I think I’ll only use straws to add genetic diversity, and only to create foals that I have the resources to max. I’ll stick with pasture breeding from here on out, and I’ll run comparison tests before BA so I can try to market or use the ones that are worse than my foundations to start a backwards line.
The only one out of the group of embryos that I didn’t test was this guy, because I knew right away he’s going to be maxed out to be one of my 2G stallions.

a good mix of worse than, aga and superior. Only gmts im using on this line will be to swap genders to help keep my numbers up.
