Breeding Season Question
-
So I've started seeing people post their Studbooks with their beautiful stallions on display and ready for the season.
I'm just wondering can anyone toss their stallions up for public breeding, no matter what? Or are there set rules for people to start public breeding and can i try? -
Anyone can set them for public breeding, though you may or may not get any bites depending on whether the market is interested and depending on what price you set. There’s also certain genes that won’t allow you to set them for public breeding, but you can always offer straws or chatroom breeding to those. Oh, and only offer ones for this season, no posting of 1 or 2 year olds. Otherwise, go ham and good luck!ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! @Lallyhop
Okie cool, so it doesn't have to be stallions I've bred myself? It can be just ones I've bought off of people and own myself as well as homebred ones? -
Correct :)ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I'm always selling straws and eggs from anything I have that catches your eye, don't hesitate to PM me and ask!
