It is a gene that modifies Tobiano spots into some being solid and others having a lace like appearance. Not sure about anyone else, but on my other account the tobiano modifier is stronger as I breed better and more generations with it. Also, if tobiano phenotype is masked/hidden by another like Appaloosa the jewel box won’t show on the horse.
