Do you have a herd helper you’re a little bit obsessed with that’s not a rank special? Rank specials are cool, but I want to hear about your favorite regular ones.
My favorite is exceptionally perfect black. I don’t have an explanation for this, black isn’t my favorite coat color, liver chestnut is! But for some reason, I can’t help my complete infatuation with the experf black creates. They make me so excited, and I have to force myself to not keep them all- I don’t have the barn space for a million experf black ponies! If I could have a 1k stall barn full of them I would. It’s silly!

Exceptionally Perfect Silver Black… especially if they end up with something extra like roan or appaloosa.

Across all my accounts, I think the Hom Sooty Exceptionally Perfect is the one I'm usually most excited to see, but I'm also partial to the ExPro Roan Tobiano & the ExPerf Hom Dun ones.

ExPro Roan Tobianos! I always get excited over when I create one's with grease/corn spots (dark spots) with Sooty and map edges on the Tobiano. The Perfect Silver Black's are close behind, especially during appaloosa events. Haha.

My favorite that's not a rank special is white 2 and frame together. I prefer it for my riding ponies, so the red-based white 2 frame one is my favorite. But if I roll a white 2 by itself, I will absolutely create all of them just in case I get one that's passing SBA and has frame.

The white 2 markings are cool already, but then adding frame makes them lacy in all kinds of fancy intersecting ways, and adds possibility for blue eyes! At one point I had a line where the mares were splash or frame and the stallion was white 2. He basically made copy/paste foals, with either a big face marking from the splash or extra lacy markings from the frame, depending what mom passed on.

Mine is Exceptional Perfect Grey or Exceptional Producing Grey.

Two of my 4 lines have grey, so. :P

Sooty champaign is my favorite hh. I will make them all just to see them even though I use red papered mares. When a sooty classic champaign comes up with grey it's my favorite thing in the whole world. I have no idea why none of my accounts are dedicated to this mix.

I absolutely love anything Bay Roan, especially if it has no white on it (I really love those black legs!). Maybe one day I will make an entire line of pure Bay Roans, just because I love them so much!

I have a whole account that keeps trying to focus on grey wild bay with no dp, but I keep finding new and interesting mares I want to keep in my pasture, then wonder why half of the babies look wrong. The rest of my accounts readily acknowledge there are just too many good genes and it's all just guidelines.

Anything giving me lots of white.

Funny thing IRL I have never had a horse with lots of chrome they have all been pretty solid colours. I did have a snowflake roan appy once but only for 3 days.

Dun Slash Exceptional... because that's literally what I breed.

But Exceptional Show Horse is always great. When I have a 1hb newsletter create, I try to get Champagne Dun or Bay Roan Dun because they look cool.

Gray Splash Tobiano is my new favorite. I didn't know it was a thing until today. I love it. Only way it could be better is to get it on a Friday so I can add appy to it! :)
