White factor none?
-
Are you suuure?

Ps I know it's an algorithm thing but it made me laugh cause they are so white -
Haha, sure is white! But in this case it’s not an algorithm thing, it’s because this is the appaloosa doing it! White factor refers to the Kit genes, of which she only has roan.
With actual white kit genes, you definitely wouldn’t see this much white with a factor of none, you’re correct there. But appy plays by its own rules, and those rule in this case are the homozygous appy (LP) and homozygous PATN1 (blanket size). If you search other horses with hom LP, hom PATN1, and white factor none, you’d probably find a good handful of matching horses. You can also change the search to see how expression differs when it’s heterozygous for one or the other as well! :xID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! Ooooh okay I figured it was the appy since but I also thought it prolly had so do with an algorithm to figure out how it expresses. It's really cool nonetheless.
