RKO Lil Arabian Boy
Donny is one of my first star studs born this season, and he is small with a big presence, I can't wait to see what his future foals will look like.
RKO Don Scooter Sir
Sir is the next star stud born at RKO Haven Estate and he has a Spanish flair to himself. I look forward to see if he stamps his future get with his awesome killer looks.
RKO Don Pierre
Pierre is the last star stud born this season and he is Spanish all the away, his future foals should all be lookers.
RKO Such A Lil Don

RKO Katalouse Sport Horse
RKO Nez Perce Twist
Perce
Introducing my newest breed the Katalouse sport horse, it is based off of the Nez Perce Appaloosa. There are three types of Appaloosa in modern times, the first of course is that which the Nez Perce Nation cultivated and it is the oldest of the Appaloosa breeds, these horses were of Asian origin and are the foundation of all the Appaloosa horses today.
The foundation stock were more pony like and they featured the gait known as the Indian shuffle and these Appys had sparse to fine mains and tails and they were not very friendly either, but the Nez Perce Indians work with their prize mounts until they got a more agreeable natured horse that kept the best traits of the original breed that the Lewis and Clark expedition saw and reported on, when they first came to the American territories.
As time went on the Appaloosa got a more stock horse type look and that brings us to the second type of Appaloosa that most people think of. Modern Appaloosa had Quarter horse blood added to the tapestry of the Appaloosa breed, this Appaloosa has more of the American Quarter Horse body type and may not have the Indian shuffle gait that the founding stock had.
Now for the third type of Appaloosa and the one that my new Katalouse is based on, the Nez Perce Elders wanted to bring some of their traditional ways back to teach their children of the past that they once had so long ago, so they started breeding their beloved Appaloosa again, but the herd was so small and the tribe feared that using the limited stock of Appaloosa they had would make the herd weak, so the tribe looked for outside studs to help keep the herd healthy and vital. The tribe could have brought Appaloosa of the more modern type to the herd, but they wanted to keep the foundation and essences of the true Appaloosa from Chief Joseph's time alive, so in comes the Akhal Teke to the Appaloosa herd's rescue.
An Akhal Teke stud farm heard about the Nez Perce tribe's quest and wanted to help out and so this farm donated four or five Akhal Teke stallions to help the Nez Perce tribe bring back their beloved spotted horses and so the Akhal Teke type Appaloosa was formed. This type is some times called the Palouse to distinguish this type from the modern Appaloosa and so I decided to create the Katalouse in honor of this awesome looking Appaloosa. The Katalouse Sport Horse will look like the Akhal Teke but have the Appaloosa coat pattern and I will use the Akhal Teke(m) bc for my Katalouse Sport Horse.Bluegrass id:182429
