I'm interested in horse genetics and kinda curious about breeding DV horses. But for now I'm just figuring out what everyone else is doing in here, before I create/buy my first horse.

Here because of a recommendation. Fish, reptiles, cats. And absolutely neither, coke nor pepsi. I wish the FAQ went into more detail / definitions rather than just broadly referencing terms that are specific to this game.... Learn as we go I guess.
