Long story short, my sister was hospitalized, my family is pretty much broken, and it’s been a mess. It’s been a lot. So much. And friends, I am tired of existing, you know? Wish I was a cat or something instead. Maybe a tardigrade.
Please share with me all your good things from recently! I need to hear some upbeat stuff. Big or small, doesn’t matter- I want to know what’s been making you happy lately! A new pony line, a tv show, a promotion, a relationship, self discovery, fun trips- all of it. Bonus points for showing me your favorite goals for this season- I bet y’all have some really cool ones coming along!
For me, even with all the crap that’s happened recently- a positive is that my girlfriend hired a friend of mine (who’s one of my favorite artists) to do a commission of me and my rabbit. I lost Cleopatra in the spring and it was devastating. It has been so lovely to see the piece and the work is absolutely exquisite, I can’t wait to frame and hang it. I don’t have many photos of me and her together so it’s such an important piece of art :x
In game positivity for me is getting to boost one of my cloned girls so she’ll be ready for next season. I have several ponies awaiting cloning so it felt nice to get this girl squared away and ready. Next up is boosting my fantasy mare and cloning the juices out of my single boosts! So much work upcoming, but I can see where my barns are gonna be at the end of this and that’s exciting. Also I broke 84k daily bonus!

Real life positive: spending a week with my father working a job. I haven't been able to spend much time with him in a while, so I'm pretty excited.

Currently watching MASH on Disney+, loving it. I find the humour and sarcasm lines right up with my personality!

In game positive: my first ever evenly bred 10th generation mare came of age this month. :x She doesn't really embody much of what I breed for primarily, but it's still an accomplishment in my barns!

So this is kind of a mixed bag, with a happy ending. This week me and my roommate went to the grocery store. No big deal, it happens all the time. While we were shopping someone stole my husbands car right out of the lot.

So the cops showed up, and gave us a ride home because Husband's car and they needed to talk to him. Get home, wake him up from his mid day sleep cause he works night, and the man had the audacity to laugh.

Turns out he had just turned the onstar back on a couple weeks ago cause there was a deal where the whole thing was half price if you added the hotspot to the car. Onstar lets you gps your car at all times from your phone. So we got to watch as our car went through 2 different high speed chases, then parked about a mile from our house.

So as soon as it parked Hunny called Onstar to disable the car. Then we rang the police and gave them the address where it was parked.

From beginning to end the whole thing took less than 2 hours and half a tank of gas. No damage to the car, and changing our locks is cheap in this building, so all in all just a fun story now.

As for my breeding... I've been crossing boosted studs with red mares for about a year now. Then added maxing out my favorite gen 2s when Ammit started that for us. I've started a slow but steady stream of gen 3 *stars/*golds. Many with at least one outside line in their foundation. Every month they make me drool.

Sorry to hear your having a bad week, I find watching a old movie like taming of the shrew or I love star trek so I will watch those, but I find that I love to find a cute horse movie helps me. Do something nice for yourself and have faith that all will turn out well. I know this corny but I will say a prayer for you and your family. Things will bet better. Enjoy my lil horse :)

@RKO I’m a big Star Trek fan too- I bought one of your horses specifically cause she had a Star Trek themed name a while ago :)) Watching Star Trek is my go to for comfort- Voyager is my favorite :x Your pony is so cute!

@Seaswell that is So lucky that he turned it on! It must have been funny (also kinda messed up lol!) to watch the car go through so much from home. I’m glad you got it back!

@BlueValley I’m so glad you’re able to spend some good time with your dad! I love MASH too, my dad loved it when I was younger and I grew up with it. Congrats on your Gen ten mare- that’s amazing! Also that colt is stunning

(and, honestly, Cosmo Sheldrake is a regular soul medicine for me. If you like this song, listen to everything else by him, it's wonderful :x )

I'm sorry things are rough for you right now! That sounds really rough *hugs* I've had a really long year so far, mostly just grappling with anxiety, but this past week didn't suck, and I'm feeling ok - we do get reprieves, sometimes. I hope yours comes soon, too.

Speaking of art (how cool to get some beautiful cool art!) - I actually work at an art non-profit, and getting to go to work and look at art and talk to (and encourage) artists helps me all the time. Art is such a good force in our human lives! I've done a lot of painting in my life, but I recently started doing embroidery, and it's just been really really satisfying.

In game, I just keep making breeds because I find it really fun! I've decided to try the backwards breeding things (in part due to some ponies I found in your auctions, too!) and I made a breed for them named Fiasco :))
