Fairly simple question - I know where to see which genes I own on the Member Home page, but not how many of each. (Particularly relevant in terms of the gift exchange!)

Basically you don't have extra copies to give away for the exchange, and it was removed to prevent people from thinking they did.

Oh, gotcha! But does that mean that if I gift a foundie GMTed with (for example), Toner, Chinchilla, and Ice 19, I lose all those licenses entirely, even if I had another foundie with them/had purchased it previously?

I know that I can purchase a gene license directly for someone else, but that makes modding a horse for the GE hard.

No, it will warn you very aggressively if you are about to give away your only copy. It still only gives away a single copy at a time. You still have multiple copies but you can no longer see how many because that was causing endless confusion for members. You only should be giving away copies of you are adding them for that exchange.
