Found a cool Breyer
-
So I went to a local flea market, and saw they a had some "horse stuff" (their words on the sign). I found this model that had this weird paint all over it. It looked almost like dirt. It's a light orange sandy color. When I say all over it I mean everywhere! It's eyes, ears, hooves, tail, and the makers stamp were all painted over. It was 3 dollars and the model was pretty, so I brought it home. I have started cleaning off the paint with a cotten cloth and rubbing alcohol (I tried water and soap 1st but it didn't work). The stamp tells me its a 1986 Breyer model, and after some research I found out it is a Lady Roxanna. I can't figure out what variation it is though. The color under the paint so far is an off white cream color. I might not know what happened to my new little breyer bit im so excited to have her.
So if you are or know a Breyer lover any help and conversation is welcome!Thanked by 1ObsidianKitsune -
Have you tried Identify your Breyer? Here's their page for the Lady Roxana mold, https://www.identifyyourbreyer.com/identify/LadyR.htm
They tend to not always have the newer models, but for older ones I've had good luck with them! (Once in a blue moon, I'll just browse through and see what there is to see, good way to waste an hour or two! :-)) )Id# 51088
I have a ridiculous need to collect Red, white and blue herd helpers! -
ooOoo, That is a horse from the book King of the wind. A good book for arabian horse lovers like myself. My mom has a Breyer horse of the main charactor/horse Sham from when she was a kid.

Wow. I just got Sham! And when I got him.... he needed some tic too. My guess is a small child was allowed free range with him with marker, ketchup and glue. XD So excited you found another one!
All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.
