This is why a lot of people do bootstrapping, as it allows for a quick increase in the quality of the foals by using a very high papered stud, which results in a quick increase in PT as well. The fillies are usually not BA tested and bred back to the high papered stud, and the colts are BAed which should alter them and kept as show ponies. For the first few rounds at least the colts will be altered by BA, and when roughly half of them start passing it is when you can think about BAing the fillies.
