Hey haj folks,

How important is it to keep track of how much you’ve spent on the gift exchange? I’m only on level 1, I know I surpassed the 25k. Will I get like, quizzed on this during the survey at the end? I want to give accurate numbers but I have dyscalculia and I’m really bad at math haha. Also how do you count homebred ponies? Do you just count them at the base price of 2500?

You will have to list what you gifted but you don't need to keep track of prices as far as I know. And the gift exchange page already gives you a list of what you sent so you wont have to make yourself crazy trying to remember or write it down :)

Thank you for the info. I was just worried I would have to calculate everything last minute if I found out I needed exact numbers for the survey. I know everything I’m sending, I just forgot to write down what I spent on them! I could go back and write it all down but I really don’t want to do that if I don’t have to haha.

The potential of messing up so bad I get my account locked really started to stress me out hahaha. Will it happen? No, cause I’m doing good and surpassed what I was supposed to. Was I going to worry about it anyway? Yes.

Basically the only thing that will get your account locked is if you don't share anything and ghost your recipient, I think. Even if you do a basic:
10 horses
50 straws
10 eggs

That should be enough. You could add a note of "To the best of my ability, I sent:" Ammit is usually really lenient about such things, so long as you keep the spirit of it~ And, as said above, the gift exchange does keep a record of what you send through it~

We never lock people's accounts because of the gift exchange. You will be banned from the gift exchange if you flat-out give nothing. And if you do a bad job you will just stay at level 1. The stakes are not nearly as high as you are making it out.

What ObsidianKitsune is vastly beyond the basics. Also, the GE audit is done by a secret panel not by me. :)

I am still curious about values though… do we value home bred/created horses at blue book value or create price? Do we value hoses we purchase at auction at blue book value or purchase price?

Example - my big gift is a rare rank special. I got lucky and stole her in an auction. Do I value her at her blue book value or for what I actually paid?

*and straws… are they valued at pull price or what I normally sell them for?

With rank specials you could always value them based off their average sale price. They are listed on the rank special page now.

Honestly everything is an estimate though. I always go way over so I don’t have to worry.
