Newbie Holiday Exchange questions

Hello! I signed up for the gift exchange, and then I realized I don’t know how it works.
I don’t have a fancy account, so I can’t host my own chat. Is that going to be a problem? How do I make sure my gift recipient gets their presents?
I saw the post about boosting participation- is it permitted / encouraged / forbidden to sign up on more than one account? -
Since you are new it would be best to stick to a single account. The exchange has a way to send the horses for you.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Is it possible to buy straws if you don’t yourself own the gene licenses for the straws? Or should I wait until the 15th and ask the seller to send to my giftee directly?
