    Rough day yesterday. We had to put our 14 yr old english cocker spaniel named Noah down. He'd been battling kidney disease/failure for awhile. It was tough. we lost his sister Lily over the summer to the same thing. We have had them since the moment they were born.

    I am sorry for your loss @HiramFarmer. It makes it so much harder when we have to make that decision, but they usually can let us know. We had to say goodbye to our Aussie Remi yesterday. I lost his momma 4 years ago; she was my heart dog. He was only 11 which makes it hurt a little more. It's like my last remaining piece of her is gone now. I have my last girl Kai (12yo) still. I'm afraid with her "siblings" gone she won't cope as well. She was very down for a while when I lost Zoe (Remi's momma) who was her partner in crime. I wish they lived as long as we do. Sending love to you.

    we have a 4 yr old irish setter who is very confused. her name is Callie. She's never not been around other dogs. Every time the garage opens she runs to see if Noah's back.

    Im so sorry to hear this. I lost my cat recently. It was very hard for me to process and I still have a hard time. He passed a few months ago. For a while I blamed myself because it shouldnt have happened. I couldve prevented it and thats hard. I dont think it gets easier. You just learn to live with the pain better.
