Turning my horses into pixel horses

I'd like opinions, I'd love to recreate my personal horses. And I know I'll be playing with gmts to do it. However, has anyone started with the parents or grandparents of their horse so they can have a pedigree with names on it?
I'm debating if I do pedigrees or not. :)ID 52206
