Most Earned Horse isn’t the Best Showing?
  • I’m confused on what these are based off and how they don’t equal each other? (Or at least close?)
I was trying to find out if my future breeding stock are good show horses compared to horses of the same age (foundation stallions), and noticed one of mine isn’t even on the first three pages of best showing, but ranks number 8 on most earnings this year, and got confused :-?
  • One is earning, one is based on show score.

  • @Ammit, do the best showers get judged based on how quickly they move up in the levels? My mind was thinking that the best showers would be earning the most hbs
  • The earnings are based on the earnings from placing in a show. Horses do get money for placements as well, not just points!

The best showing are those with higher scores. If you go to a horses record tab, they should all show a "score" for each show. You can think of this as the "XX/100" that horses are judged on in the show. So the higher their score, the better shower they are. Each show tends to have a range of scores that cover it, with some overlap at the last and first placings.

  • @OnsidianKitsune thank you, I think I’m starting to understand a bit better, sorry I have a hard time grasping things sometimes!

So he hasn’t been in too many shows, and they’re pretty low, only 2-5 horses in each, so would he be getting less points (or earnings) because of this? So the placing they get effects their points and how big it is effects their earnings?
  • Basically, yes. If you go to Showing -> My Show Entries and scroll down, there will be a table of all the shows with their entry fee/max horse number. As you go across and down the table, you tend to increase in the amount of money and points up for grabs. I am unsure about the earnings, but I do know that all horses apart from the ones who place last will get more points, so something similar must be for earnings as well.
