What's causing the edges of the splash to be so... blotchy? and uneven. I have other horses with splash but none like this

I believe it's the frame.

I thought frame just limits the white to not going over the back and tail and typically has jagged edges, not splotchy?

It's the Kit mutation causing it.

All the horses posted about have KIT. Here is one below without
