Search Tool W1 W1
-
Hi! How do I search for homogeneous W1? I’m interested in the explanation/learning as much as I am the result. I know how to search for a full white slot/white slot (w2/w1, for example) but not how to search for the different whites (and, specifically, homogeneous W1).
Thank you for your time. -
Do the drop down and select “must not have” for all the slots other than W1 within the same block as W1. That should get you hom. W1, if any exist.

…I don’t see W1 as a choice? I don’t know how to find the different colors/types of white. What dropdown is it under?
-
It is under the Kit Locus. The first box farthest to the left on white markings~GreenAcres~ ID-31716
(Watercolor, Roses, Bouquet, Diamond Sparkles, Onyx, Mushroom, Macchiato, Paintbrush Prism, Paintbrush Cool, and Chinchilla licenses) -
On mobile I only get -/R/TO as choices under kit locus. There is no W20 or whatever. I checked on an iPad and it’s the same.
Windsong’s search comes up as none/none/none for those three for me, but it’s only pulling homogeneous w1 for them. I seem to be missing an additional dropdown bar or something. -
W1 is right under TO. It should have a scrolly thing on the right side to scroll and see all the options. I play on a desktop mostly~GreenAcres~ ID-31716

Scrolling the different gene locuses (loci?) on the horse search page is tricky on mobile! I will say that I have had a few different herds where I have played around with the higher lethality KIT genes. As long as you keep your white factor to "none" or "minimal", avoid splash and frame, and if you are okay with losing a few foals every year, you can get horses with varying w1/w2/w3 combinations! I definitely remember having homozygous w2 and homozygous w3 horses. I don't remember if I ever had a homozygous w1 horse.ID 43830
It's nice to be back! :)
