as is my habit, I went over to the auction to bid on a few old horses. I came back to check some hours later and to my dismay, I was not able to check on my horses that I had bid upon, I had to re-start the search ( and discovered I was out bid on every single horse) it was cumbersome, but even so, I bid on two at the last minute and won them.

Oh yeah if you don't have an upgrade then you don't have the bid watcher

Oh man, the upgrade is worth it on the bid watcher feature alone. I can't even remember what I've bid on five minutes after I out it through, much less hours later!

Honestly, one of my shocks is how different the feel of this server is; honestly like being in a different country. Prices are different, reaction times are different.. We need a sociologist on here (or an anthropologist?)

@Fiddler it's really crazy how different each server is! I always feel a bit awkward on this one and Mesa because I'm less familiar than with Bluegrass

I started this account with no expectations, I knew it would only be a month or so. I made lots of money fast, because June is definitely the best month to start. It was like the 10 days of Christmas, only 30 instead! It was so exciting. I was sure to make a herd helper every single day (and a few more) and it was fun and easy to make money..
Again I found the two different servers had different traditions, what might go for a lot languished on Forest.
I was able to buy Foundation Rescue horses age 10 for 2500 hbs and put them in the auction that same day for a big payout.
On Bluegrass, I can't even find 8 year old Foundation Rescue horses that pay out well. Now these are things a new player would not be expected to know, or understand or even discover. But it sure helped me with the modicum of knowledge I'd gained since I joined at the End of February.


Then, as the month drew to a close, I gave away most of my money

and then found an underdog sort of person and gave them the really good high point desirable horses (and GMTS) that were left over. These things were really fun to do.

It was fun, and I met generous gracious people here.
it was also very interesting how things changed mid month for the better for new users, I especially like the create a horse dialogue, because it helped show us exactly what was happening, that my new horse might be worth more than 2500 hbs, and how much time I had left to make more juicy pointed horses.

The game at the beginning (without getting premium membership) was fairly cumbersome. Since it WAS June, I was able to save up enough HBs to get a membership that made everything feel fairly normal again (big sigh of relief) and then I really felt like I was in the game.

While the change to total number of points and making new creates came in the middle of the month, it didn't slow me down on Forrest, because i still only have made 15000 points (unbelievable really) there., but the addition of all of those new Achievement Tasks was stellar, because it led me from the really tough place right after you achieve 10000 points to where you might actually be able to stand on your own feet without help from others. (on bluegrass, I did get lots of help, on Forest we agreed not to). I think that was a great addition to the game.

having an account on a different server was a little stressful in itself because (i actually have a life) I felt pulled in too many directions. Because of that, I also cut the second account I had on bluegrass. I am much happier now with just one account.. Yes the Forest one still exists, but I haven't put much energy into it. I don't want to ! I got a seahorse the first time I did a create in July! now what am I going to do with that?!

Please have some patience. I just got back from 23 straight hours of travel and have real-life stuff I am catching, plus a time-critical issue on mesa server to deal with. I will get to you as soon as I am able . :)
