Since breeding season is open but my pastures are not yet, I decided I would do a much-needed freezer cleanout and start making embryos from all these things I have saved. The number of archived horses I had in there is ridiculous!
I made 94 embryos yesterday, and used all of my eggs/straws from at least 25 different horses. Lots of one offs, straw gifts, and misc pulls in there.
I won't start implanting until after I run my pastures and get a feel for which broodmares I have left, but I am super excited to see these foals.

Have any of you produced any fun embryo babies this year?

These two from my rejected line. Thank The heavens we can gmt off fantasy genes now otherwise these two wouldn’t be possible. I can now enter era 7 again and in a few months will have a breeding pair. It feels like forever.

I should do a clean out but I don’t have enough stalls haha. I have several thousand straws sitting around.

Be aware that the more embryos you make the more that page will slow down. I would not keep more than 100 at a time.

I made the mistake on my bluegrass account of having over 300 embryos and it took about 5 minutes to create one baby and the page to load back up. I’ve got my number down to 240ish and it’s still 2-3 minutes per foal. So lots of embryo babies over there. None over here yet.

Interesting. I’ve never seen the slowdown on mobile but I also don’t wait for images to load. I normally do 200-400 every season and create them all the day before.

The drop down menu for the embryos and implant mares won’t load until the foals image loads, so that isn’t an option for me.

The implant page have never been slow for me here. On Bluegrass it is slow if I have many embryos, but not here. although it's never been minutes. Maybe a minute-ish.
