Possible bug with tack editor and awards

Could be a bug, could be a known thing that just didn't know about, not sure. I noticed that once I used the tack editor to place awards on my horse's image, my tattoos disappeared.
I've tried refreshing the image which makes the tattoos come back but the awards go away. I then went back and replaced the awards and the tattoos disappeared again. I know that refreshing will delete the awards as it says on the editor page, but was just curious if the issue with the tattoos was a known effect.
One of the horses I've been tinkering with added so you can see what I'm talking about :)

I've noticed this as well, and also that it's changing some of the dynamic hex colors on previously existing tack as well. The original color of the metal bits on the cavesson was AEAEAE.
