I figured maybe it would be nice to see if people have horses bred by you that they love or hold very valuable. Who are some of your favorite horses bred by?

In 2017 when I was only a few months into the game, I bought this mare. Although she didn't have any rare or super fancy genes, she was my favorite, and is still one of my favorites. I went on a hunt to buy her siblings, and I managed to find one to buy. Although I am out of eggs, and what she's had is it, Miss Opaque Player really helped jump my lines, and I still have her presence in some. She was bred by Mystic Rose.

Coming into 2018, I made my first big purchase with this stallion. He was my first snowflake, or any kind of "fancy" gene like snowflake, kp, satin, etc. I crossed him with the aforementioned mare for some very nice babies, and started a line I was so proud of, and that I still have in my barn. He was bred by Colour World.

G4 Reckless Days SNF

I only managed to get a few foals from this mare as I got her when she was older, but from the few was Seattle Snow and Something Like Snow, two very valuable (to me!) snowflake horses. Again I still have horses with her in their pedigree due to those two foals. She was bred by Wolfgang Pride.

Something Like Steel

This mare has so much in her that I love, and she was my first Onyx/Chinchilla. Plus she has KP, satin, DP, TE *drool*. I got her as a gift in 2020, and my secret santa nailed it. I've got some nice babies from her, and I hope to get some more keepers. She was bred by Kismet.

G3 Quentin Frau

Another I got from my 2020 secret santa is one of my favorites. Homozygous for Chinchilla, and just so pretty. He's given me some nice foals, I hope I get some more, and I have straws pulled if anyone else would like him in their lines. He was bred by BlaxkDiamond.

G3 Incandescence

One of two that I got to kickstart satin in my lines. Got her when she was older, but I got a couple foals that I still have in lines today. Not to mention I am a sucker for Blue Roans. She was bred by Painted Dreams.

xxxSA Misty Satin

Another blue roan; when I was looking to expand on KP, I bought three mares from Cheers, and while I love them all, Breaking Blue had the most impact on my lines. She was bred by Cheers.

I have so many horses that I really love, but these are just a few of my favorites, and ones that have made an impact in my lines or swayed me a certain way. Thank you to every one of the breeders! I love these horses!

So far I love all Blackwyld horses, and Beautifulparadise horses. I haven't bought many from Beautifulparadise, but I have gotten eggs from them that will help shape the future of my program. Blackwyld has helped out significantly with my program, and slowly the majority of my horses are becoming descendants from or outcrossed to Blackwyld Drafts. Some of my favorite foals born this year are from a Blackwyld Stallion and a Beautifulparadise Mare <3<br />

When I first decided I wanted a snowflake line I would hit up RubyJo's sales on the forum and spend every hb I had. I was addicted, it was bad lol Needless to say, her mares are heavily sprinkled in my lines and are the reason it's doing so well. I also bought my benchmark G2 Chimera stallion, Rollin, from her. There's way too many to list here, but these are a few of my faves <3 <br />

Dinascar is the reason my focus shifted to drafts in my lines. I'm not exclusively breeding drafts, but I much prefer them. And the stallion I bought from them, The Snowman Can, is the reason I fell in love with the DP gene. I have several mares bred by them a well, and love them all! <3 <br />

There's a handful I'd like to mention.

Undoubtedly, my chinchilla line started with Creature, who I purchased from MariaChapinFarm3. He is a predecessor for many of my higher gen chinchilla horses, even though I made the switch to B/Red foundation cobs! I still adore this guy.

I don't remember who Blue came from, but he was the shortest cob I could get my hands on at the time that carried onyx. He's very prominent in my onyx/phantom bloodlines!

I have Kintara, BlackWyld, and WickedPonies to thank for these beauties! Mikey is featured in a whole wack of different lines I have, I pretty much bred him to any and all mares I had at the time (I loved him that much! Still do :) ). And Moreles sired almost my entire third generation at the time!

There are certainly more that I haven't listed, but I will say that I thank every person I've purchased a horse and straws from, because they have all helped shape my current herd! :x

I have a long list of favorite horses but it all comes down to one very special stallion

He was bred by DragonRun and I picked him up to start my venture into bootstrapping. Who would have known that it became my one and truly only obsession with this game. This boy won Tons of awards and I enjoyed watching my lines progress through him. Though I have added pretty much every line I have found into my bootstraps he was the start. And every bootstrap horse I own goes back to him.

I am so thankful for getting to own him and I will forever be greatful for the years of enjoyment I got out of the game in expanding and perfecting my bootstraps. Though I don’t have many that look like him anymore I did edit a new boy to look a little more like him.

I’m a lot lost right now on what to focus on…maybe I’ll start another line from him? Idk.

I have 2 favorites. I recently started playing this game again last year. When I logged back in most of my horses from when i started in 2018 were gone. So I searched around and asked a few people if they had any horses they were willing to sell. These 2 were bred my Alohomora and they are brother and sister. They are my favorite because it was the nicest thing anyone has done for me. So thank you so much @Alohomora

I have so many people who have helped shape my lines! Back when I was just getting started, I was lucky to be on the tail end of Dark Star's days - many of the era 0 bootstraps around here will trace back to their lines! I was able to get a few straws from them and I still remember the thrill when I bred my first star papered colt.

This was the one I got the most from in my lines, and the reason I was able to get ahold of some satin scattered here and there - it used to be quite a bit harder to get satin!

And then with this beautiful boy from @Dinascar I was able to get even more satin - and how thrilled I was to have my first homebred hom satin from him.

Bob here is a longstanding favorite and well over half my best mares can be traced back to him. I remember I barely scraped together enough for three GMTs to tweak him, and he's directly responsible for the reason my current herd has so much kit M and satin!

And then I bred him with this beautiful lady from @Wildland Acres :x

A lot of my Show string horses were purchased or gifted to my over the last few seasons :) This boy has been the backbone drawing up my mare's PT scores and he's about to retire

I have had so many, but my all time favorites are stallions and mares I got from Cheers when I first started. Too many to mention, but the most impactful on my lines were the following:

This guy bred by HiddenCreek has been fantastic. He carries a bunch of shiny genes and he's my first bootstrap stallion. Makes lots of pretty babies and they are so good quality. By third gen from a foundation red mare, I've gotten a gold foal crossing back to him!

I’m still new (I just started mid-April) so there isn’t a great story to tell yet, but these two by PestilentTempest and Kismet have been crucial to my bootstrapping, one for fantasy and one for non-fantasy. I only have 1 season left with my non-fantasy boy (if he beats rollover) and I’m so sad about it!

So far my all time favorite has been my Visio. I bought him from LallyHop and I bought sooooo many mares as well and they all have really boosted my entire program. I’m just now starting to refine my herds and decided on a more direct direction to go with each. Visio has officially retired this yr but he’s still happy an healthy in the barn enjoying life.
