Good remedies for eczema?
-
I have eczema on the tops of my hands and it's so itchy. Lotion makes it burn and flare up even the unscented kind.
-
I, myself, do not have eczema, but both my cousin and my brother do. They both had to have long discussions with their doctors and it ultimately led to a long journey of trying different natural, gentle, unscented products until they found something that worked. I believe my brother has used some aveeno products with success.
I don't know if it'll work for eczema, but I have used a liquid, anti-itch polysporin before on bug bites and rashes that has worked like a miracle.ID# 25784 -
I don't have it myself, but I've heard petroleum jelly works really well for some people. And here's an article that looks like it has some good tips that might be worth a try if you haven't tried them yet. https://www.glamour.com/story/how-to-treat-eczemaID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I do have eczema (And psoriasis, yay me!) and the only thing that has ever worked for me is one of the simplest products out there. Goat milk. I've tried a few brands of goat milk soaps and lotions, but my favorite and what works best for me is from a family-owned goat dairy and business called Goat Milk Stuff. The boss lady, PJ, is awesome and she and her kids have done amazing things creating their all natural, super safe products. The kids are all nearly grown now, and I remember when the oldest was just like eleven. She's married with kids now. LOL
Anyway, here's a link to their Eczema page. It lists a bunch of soaps that hundreds of people have tried with their eczema and had good results with. The "Purity" soap is especially safe to use, friends have even used it on newborn babies (people and pets!) with no problems, but I personally use the "Tea Tree" most often of the soaps on that page.
I'm lucky enough that my skin responds well to half a dozen other scents too, but I mostly stick with the "Tea Tree" and a limited edition one called "Cool Citrus Basil" that's only sold once a year in the spring. I saved up and bought enough of the CCB last spring when it was available that I'll likely still have some in 2023. :))~*~ Justa ~*~

Aquaphor has been hands down the best "grease" out there for my seasonal nummular eczema, and has kept my 9 week old daughter from peeling, prevented cradle cap (plus brushing), and has helped the eczema on her cheeks from her constant slobbering LOL. Her pediatrician says shes got some of the healthiest skin she has seen!ID# 24891

I actually had eczema when I was alot younger. My grandmother made me stinging nettle ointment. It does look disgusting, like this green paste & smells quite odd however once you use it every night, till the eczema fully goes away it only comes back on very rare occasions. I rarely ever get it anymore.

Yeah I've noticed that since I've gotten older my eczema gets really bad in the winter time and it's just the tops of my hands

I'm trying some bag balm. My mom used this for everything when my sister and I were little. It's great for dry cracked or split skin

I have eczema... and I have it everywhere. I don't think there's a single place on my body I don't get it... and yes, even *there*. I have yet to find what triggers it or how to help/treat it.Love,

I figured out awhile ago either my hair products/body wash would trigger mine. I swapped over to higher class products and mine went away
However the goat milk stuff actually burns my skin ^_^ I use lubriderm (advanced, the red one) and it’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate me. Dove body wash helped me a lot
But everyone is different. I’m a red head and my skin hates me. Also moving to a more humid state helped me a TON.

Yea, mine bothers me in the winter time mostly.
