So, I went to the animal shelter today and found a dog I'm planning to adopt come Monday. He's also getting neutered Monday. His name is Rhett (the shelter named him), and he's a short, but hefty pitbull (much like a cob... small, but large). He's an amazing dog, and I love him to death. He actually came and sat on my lap. :)) Only problem is, I wasn't able to adopt him today due to reasons beyond my control (I could've had it been any other day), so I have to hope he's still available Monday morning when I go in to look at/adopt him (they actually are closed Friday through Sunday, and were only open another 2 hours after I left today, so that's hopeful!). Please wish me luck and help me keep my hopes up that he'll still be available! :x I'll definitely post pictures of him once I get some!
I know the whole pitbull stereotypes, but I truly love them. Most of them are honestly the best dogs anyone could ever ask for.Love,

OOOOoo! Puppy! I hope he's there waiting when you go back. Bright and early cause puppy jail sucks. Can't wait for updates on this.

Good luck! Shelter dogs are amazing! Since hes a pitty he'll probably still be there. They make amazing dogs but get adopted the least sadly since people are ignorant about them.Wolfgang Pride ID 554

Wolfgang, I do hope you're right, though most of the dogs there are pitties. It's really sad. I can name maybe 10 dogs that weren't pitbulls out of about 40. I saw dogs being adopted left and right yesterday, but hopefully he wasn't one after I left. Sometimes, the perfect dog isn't the one you see right off, but something told me as soon as I saw him that he was the one. They had a husky. I've always wanted a husky. But Rhett just "spoke" to me as soon as I saw him. I knew he was the one.
@LumosRain, thank you! I hope so, too!Love,

Just one day to go! I'll be going in early Monday morning, right as they open! Already have a collar, leash, a few toys, treats, and food dish for him, or in case he's not available and I decide to take a different one. He'd better be available! LolLove,

Thanks!
I love german shepherds, wish I could have one, and the shelter did have one, but she didn't call out to me like Rhett did.Love,

We had a husky for 14 years from a rescue. Best dog ever. Way too smart for his own good. Loved kids and cats. I can't wait to see your coming home pic.45120
